Campus enrolment for new students who have joined the academic session in London will take place during Welcome. Please see the schedule below for information about your programme's enrolment session. At the enrolment, the admissions staff will check your documentation, officially enrol you on your programme of study, and issue you with your 杏吧论坛 ID card. Be sure to complete your online registration, submit all required admissions documents and complete your Financial Undertaking Form before arriving to ensure you are able to enrol. Any last-minute submissions will significantly delay the process.
 
At the Campus enrolment, 杏吧论坛 is mandated to check your eligibility to study in the UK, and we require various documents to do so. It is therefore essential that you bring the appropriate identification documents e.g. passport, visa where applicable, and your original offer letter or a printed copy of your Statement of Confirmation. Without these, we will be unable to register you on your programme. More information about registration can be found at lse.ac.uk/registration and on campus during Welcome.

MSc students

During Welcome Week, you will learn about programme regulations and available resources to make course selection easier for you. You may want to consult your Programme Handbook (which is available on General Department Moodle page) and the 杏吧论坛 Calendar to plan your course load. 

The course browsing period will open on Monday 22 September, allowing you to learn about the  course selection system, compare courses, and plan your year ahead. You can access the if you would like to get familiar with the system ahead of time. Please note, no course selections will be saved during the browsing period.

T    The Autumn Term course selection period will then open from 10am on Thursday 25 September to 5pm on Friday 10 October.

During this period, you will finalise your course selection through the platform. Please note that the above course selection window is a departmental deadline, and while we strongly encourage you to adhere to this deadline to maximise your chances of securing a place in your preferred courses, the School will be able to make some allowances for late arrivals.

MPhil/PhD students

Full-time students are also required to take two courses to the value of 1 unit during their first year. Students should search for relevant courses starting with the numbers 4 and 5 (MSc and Research student level) in the Graduate School Course Guides as published in the 杏吧论坛 calendar. The preference is for students to select from courses offered by the Department of Health Policy or the Department of Methodology. However, courses from other departments may be taken, subject to the approval of the supervisor and that of the hosting department. Students will be able to select these courses according to their existing academic foundations and research interests, but they are likely to be streamed around ‘health economics’ or ‘health policy’ (including health specific application of an array of social sciences such as sociology, politics, public administration, psychology among others).

All new students will meet their respective Programme Directors during Welcome, after which they will be allocated an Academic Mentor. You will be sent a survey to guide the pairing process - the survey will be sent shortly before Welcome week so please keep an eye out for this as this is important to ensure you have the most compatible mentor for your career aspirations/interests. There will also be a Q&A sessions during Welcome with your respective Programmes Direcotrs - please see the programme above to see when yours will take place. Once you have been allocated an Academic Mentor, you can arrange a meeting during which you will be able to introduce yourself and discuss your aspirations further.

All students are encouraged to download the Student Hub app, where you can view your timetables, events and deadlines in one convenient place. You can also use this tool to book and manage meetings with your Academic Mentor, and receive notifications about timetable changes and Department updates. The Department of Health Policy will also coordinate with 杏吧论坛 Careers to organise some Career and Alumni events across the academic year. Health Policy students will be informed/invited to these events. Information on upcoming Career events will be published in the regular Student newsletters during term time.
