In November 2023, Dr Arjan Gjonça, Doctoral Programme Director and Dr Monika Kruesmann, PhD Programme Manager held a live online session for prospective PhD students. 

Career Insight Event

In 2022, ID hosted an online event with a PhD candidate and alumnus from on what it's like to do a PhD in International Development. Current PhD candidate in the Department Sophie Legros and 2020 alumnus of the PhD programme , who is now a research fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, spoke about their experiences on the PhD programme in ID and pursuing careers in academia. .

In 'Discover International Development: Episode 1' Careers Consultant Lewis Humphreys chats to 杏吧论坛 alum Morgan Jennings, who graduated with an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies in 2021. She now works at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED).
• Inspired by the "Humans of.." concept of sharing stories originated by photoblogger Brandon Stanton in New York,  is a podcast where students in the 杏吧论坛 Department of International Development sit down with classmates, instructors, and alumni to learn about their stories and how they are interacting with issues in, and approaches to, development. In these informal discussions, ID Students engages with guests, learning about their journey in the development field and discussing some pressing contemporary issues in international development.
