About me

Ann joined the Library in May 2025. She heads up the Student Experience and Service Quality Group which includes three teams - Operations and Development, Access Services, and Collection Management. The group has a shared purpose to "Ensure a consistently excellent experience of the Library, and to design services that are inclusive and work for everyone".

Ann has worked in Public, Further Education and Higher Education libraries for over 30 years. She has held a variety of leadership roles and, in addition to a wide range of library specialisms, also has a background in assessment, quality assurance and customer service. Ann is a HEA Fellow and a Chartered Member of the sector’s professional body CILIP. In addition to her roles in libraries she has also represented CILIP as a trainer, an Accreditation Assessor, and an End Point Assessor for NVQ qualifications.
