Dr Insa Koch is Associate Professor of Law and Anthropology at ÐÓ°ÉÂÛ̳ Law School. Her research focuses on democracy, populism, the criminal justice system, welfare changes and class. Her recent book, Personalizing the State: an anthropology of law, politics and welfare in austerity Britain, won the 2020 book award for early career researchers by the Socio-Legal Studies Association.
